Greetings from the corner of Routes 165 and 7, in North Lima. We here at Good Hope Lutheran Church, are rejuvenated and refreshed from the week of working and living in a world that is fast paced and draining. We work hard, play hard and look for the oasis of Christ to lift our spirits and strengthen us that we might go out and do it again.

Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me: for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

I know that if you are like most of us, you too, feel the need to be refreshed. We have been in this community of North Lima for almost 200 years; feeding the body and the soul of the people, who live, work and go to school here. With Christ as our leader and the scriptures as our reference, we here at Good Hope, live and work to be strengthened and fed, as well as to feed and strengthen those around us. We strive to know and show the love of God through our actions and words.

“The end of all things is near; therefore be serious and discipline yourselves for the sake of your prayers. Above all, maintain constant love for one another, for love covers a multitude of sins. Be hospitable to one another without complaining. Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received. Whoever speaks, must do so as one speaking the very words of God; whoever serves must do so with the strength that God supplies, so that God may be glorified in all things through Jesus Christ. To him belong the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen” (1Peter 4:7-12)

Come join us. Strive to find your gifts and strengths, that we might together strengthen each other with an awesome God. Together we can serve one another and shine throughout the community with Good Hope.

Stop in and join us at Good Hope Lutheran Church “A place to feed the Body and Soul.”
